Evercred / Who we serve / Cash-only practices
PracticesCash-only practices
A cash-only practice is paid by the patient, not by an insurer. The clinicians still need licenses.
What a cash-only practice is
Cash-only means the practice does not bill insurance for the visit. It does not mean the practice skips licensure.
How Evercred serves cash-only practices
Evercred verifies the state medical license, DEA registration, NPI, and board certification of the physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants.
Evercred keeps credentials up to date continuously. It uses a combination of APIs, open data agents, browser agents, and its agent orchestration tool. It keeps an audit trail. When an agent runs a verification, Evercred records video of what the agent is doing and keeps that video for regulatory compliance. This is true for every state.
Every plan also includes manual primary-source verification on every credential.
Not billing insurance does not remove those checks.

If we do not take insurance, do we still verify licenses?
Yes. A cash-only practice still needs primary-source verification of state licenses and the other credentials Evercred checks.
